Why We Built LedgerPort
Every e-commerce store hits the same wall, usually somewhere around their first serious month of sales.
Shopify (or your payment gateway, if you're on WooCommerce) deposits money into your bank as net payouts — a batch of orders, minus refunds, minus processing fees, minus adjustments, landing as one lump sum. QuickBooks wants the opposite: gross sales, with fees and refunds broken out as their own lines. The two systems speak different languages, and if nobody translates, your payout never matches your books.
Store owners were solving this with Sunday-night spreadsheets. Accountants were solving it with unbillable hours. Most sync tools "solved" it by pushing thousands of order records into QuickBooks and calling it done — books that looked synced right up until someone tried to reconcile them.

- Refund Handling — refunds booked as contra-revenue with correct fee and tax treatment, including credit memos for invoice-based orders.
- Multi-Store — multiple storefronts (Shopify, WooCommerce, or both) under one login, each with isolated books, settings, and connections.
- Time Machine historical import — backfill up to 24 months of order history into QuickBooks, with automatic deduplication so re-pushes never create duplicates.

- Partner Program expansion — more firm-level tooling, and a directory that connects store owners who need help with the accounting firms who run LedgerPort.
